My sister graduated from high school and had her senior voice recital last weekend. I can't believe she's that old, and that she has that good of a voice... so impressive! She certainly got all the vocal talent in the family. So proud of her!

Go Big or Go Home
Tomorrow is a holiday, which means this is a long weekend, which means homework can be put off a bit more than usual!!
Friday I had my clinical competency evaluation (gag!) and came home determined not to open another book for the rest of the night. Tim came home tired and ready for a break too so, we went for burgers and a movie! Known for its one pound monster burgers, Big Juds is a must as far as eastern Idaho experiences go. So good!! The movie however was not as impressive (no offense if you really loved Prince of Persia), just a one thumb upper in my opinion.
And yes we did eat this whole thing… they don’t take your picture and hang it on the wall though if it takes you two days to do it… unfortunate

Bad Dreams
Though I may not appear it, I am actually somewhat of a scaredy cat; I don't watch scary movies, I won't go to haunted corn mazes, and I get totally spooked by ghost stories. So you can imagine what kind of a night I had the other day when I was woken up by the worst dream I have ever had!
I have never been one to have bad dreams. I didn't have night terrors as a kid, I have never (or had never I guess) woken up screaming... aside from the occasional trying to run in slow motion type things I usually sleep pretty pleasantly. But for some reason the other night I had not only the most real dream I've ever had, but certainly the scariest.
I woke up sometime in the night surprisingly bright eyed and looked over at the clock. It was nowhere near time to get up so I snuggled back to try to get more sleep. And I guess I did fall asleep, but I fell right into a dream where I was lying awake in the dark in the middle of the night, just like I really had been. It felt so real, my room was exactly the same, Tim was even in bed next to me asleep just like he really was... and then it happened! Some scary thing came after me and before I knew it I was waking up breathing hard! And when I woke up, of course everything looked just like the dream, because my dream was just like reality... So weird! I was awake for a while & when I finally fell asleep the same thing happened again. This time I must have shouted because Tim woke me up. We turned on the lamp and he stayed awake with me until I fell asleep (quite a while later). Such an odd thing...
It's been a few days now and I still have trouble when the lights go out. I feel so silly. I'm fine all day, but as soon as we get in bed and Tim falls asleep all I can think of is that awful dream! I haven't slept well for a couple nights now, I'm hoping this passes soon. I hate being tired!
If anyone has suggestions about how to not be such a chicken let me know, I'm all ears!

Graduation
Last weekend my best friend graduated from Utah State with her degree in business entrepreneurship, how exciting! We were able to go down to Logan and see her, so much fun!! It makes me look forward to the day when I'm finally done with school... if only. That a girl Darcy!

DeeAnna's 22!
Well, I'm one year older and wiser too... or so they say, we'll see if it's true... but it was a good birthday! I got to celebrate twice, lucky me! The weekend before my birthday Tim took me out to dinner at Olive Garden and bought me flowers and made a cake, yellow with chocolate frosting, my favorite!
And the next weekend my mom and sister treated me to Ruby Tuesday and presents! So much fun! Getting older really isn't as bad as they say. Here's to you 22!

Back to School
Well school has started up again and is definitely rockin' and rollin'! I successfully survived my first semester of the nursing program and am now 2 weeks into the second one... they don't waist any time that's for sure. We have already had a big test and last Thursday we didn't leave the lab until 10:00 pm. And Tim is just as busy.... I think... we don't really see each other. Long days so far! But the operating room is sweet! Here's to science degrees!
