Sweet 6 Months

On the 13th of May Madam McKenna was half a year old.  

Next week she'll be 7 months.

And I have determined that the world has likely never seen a cuter, happier, more fun little lady!

She is without a doubt, the sweetest!

She's such a big girl. She's 27 inches long and a whopping 15 and a half pounds.  She sits up, eats like a champ, sleeps... ok, rolls around a bit, and has a smile that is to die for!  She's a total mama's baby, a social butterfly, loves her big sister, loves to hear music and be sung to, and could coo and blow bubbles all day long.

Basically, she's awesome. And we love her! She brings so many smiles and laughs to our little family and we feel so blessed to have her!  

I Is Turned Three

Since her birthday back in May, Brinlee has made it a point to remind me almost every day
"I is big now.  I is turned 3!"
And she is probably the most awesome big 3-year-old this world has ever seen!

She is a firecracker and about the most darling little girl you've ever met.  She runs non-stop, talks all the time, has the sweetest little voice, and the cutest personality!  I love to watch her learn. She's so so smart, amazingly creative, and surprisingly clever.  

She acts tough, but she really has a tender heart. She's most often fairly social, but can at times be shy.  She's very headstrong, and very independent, but is very loving, very thoughtful, loves to help, and is so very sweet.

She is basically, the best!  When we brought her home as a tiny baby, I used to rock her to sleep thinking and getting excited about all of the things I would teach her.  And now, I go to bed every night so grateful for all of the things she is teaching me.  We love her! She is such a special, amazing little person and we are beyond blessed to have her!

Goodbye First Year

This picture is slightly monumental for a few reasons:

1. It's the first time I actually did anything with my hair in... well... a long time (not that you can tell, thank you humidity!)
2. Tim posed willingly for a selfie!
3. It's the first time since March that we were out without kids
4. It was taken right before we splurged a little to go to an Indian restaurant where we both tried dishes we'd never had, or heard of actually.  It was delicious!
5. The blonde boy in the blue shirt is officially a second year med student!

This morning Tim very successfully finished his last final of his first year of medical school, so it's goodbye year one!  Only 3 more to go!
Congratulations to the smartest, cutest, most hard working and most amazing man I know!

The Rest Of May

I always get to the end of a month and find myself with pictures that never made it into posts.  And really, can you ever have too many pictures??

I'll keep the captions short, but here's the rest of May, Ohio style.

It has been getting nice and warm here, and we are loving it!  We spend a lot of time outside.

Brinlee has completely embraced her big girl 3-year-old status and is more and more of a kid all the time.  I find myself staring at her wondering when she got so dang big!

Speaking of big, why is this chunky monkey growing so fast?! She thinks she is some seriously hot stuff now that she can get around a bit.

For some reason this was the month of babysitting and playdates.  We had lots of friend time!

Overall, May in Ohio was wonderful!
