Last Minute Cramming

What is that saying you're supposed to use to make yourself feel better?  "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it's happened"?  Something like that.

I'm not sure how well it works.  Even smiling we're still a little bummed.  We were so spoiled, it's going to be hard to get used to being away...  sigh...  :'(  We had four glorious months in Boise and in the end it still wasn't enough time.  We spent the last 2 weeks running around frantically trying to finish getting our fill of family time.  There are plenty of pictures, so I'll spare the wordy stuff.   But here's a taste of some last minute summer fun fun fun!

Brinlee is really going to miss having her cousins around all the time.  She loved playing with those kids!  And to be honest, we loved playing too.  Family is so fun!

More Sugar and Spice

We spent yesterday morning at the doctor's office getting some pictures of our new little peanut.
She is a wiggler!  We were there for over half an hour trying to get the little squirmer to cooperate.  Sweet little thing  :)  She never did really hold still, but we finally did get some good shots of her.  We are 21 weeks along, seem to be growing just perfectly, and, did you catch?

We are looking forward to another sweet baby girl!

Doesn't she look so sweet??  We are SO excited!  Tim had kind of known all along that she was a girl, and even though he will now be super outnumbered, we have been just giddy giddy giddy about having sisters!  :)  In fact, this has been playing in my head over and over.  Makes me smile!

We have had so much fun with our first little lady, and the thought of two pairs of little girl feet running around our house is the best!  Brinlee doesn't really get the whole concept just yet.  But she does like to pat and kiss my belly, and likes to talk about the baby.  And she was excited when we gave her a piece of pink "baby sister" cake, of course!  She will be an awesome big sister.

Bring on more dresses and pony tails!
Girls totally rock!!!

Happy Birthday America

Our 4th of July celebrating this year kind of took the blunt of "The Ohio Move" blow. We are starting to lock things down over there. Very exciting.  But, we are also starting to get a feel for what this trip is going to cost us.  Not so exciting.  Consequently we didn't get too ambitious with this holiday and kept things super low key.  It was kind of nice actually.  We spent the morning playing around, took late naps, and played with some fireworks in the evening.  Brinlee was a huge fan of the snakes and poppers (which she preferred to step on rather than throw actually).

It took her a little while to get brave enough to go near a sparkler, and then it took her another little while to warm back up to them after one sparked on her. Ouch.  Tim looked pretty awesome burning through several super manly, multi-colored sparklers, by himself, while Brin kept a safe distance.  Life of a dad.  But in the end she decided they were "awesome"!
We decided last minute to venture out to Melba for their big firework show.  We had heard it was pretty good, and we weren't disappointed!  I worried Brin would be scared, but she was mesmerized.  That's my girl.  I've always thought fireworks are so magical!

What a blessing it is to live in a country that allows us such important freedoms.  I have a warm place in my heart for this nation and for all of the men and women who have and continue to sacrifice so that our life can be awesome and our little family can be happy.
Happy Birthday America!
