Sunday Best

I was just lamenting to Tim the other day about how I haven't gotten any snapshots of Brinlee lately.  That child is just too dang busy!  Even if the camera is handy, she runs too fast from one thing to the next. It wears me out.
But we happened upon a golden window yesterday just after she was all dressed for "church day".  It almost made us late, but you do what you gotta do!

Hello Dolly!  She picked out her own dress, then picked Tim's tie, and then picked a tie for her to wear. Are we at all surprised which one she chose for herself?

She is sure busy, and definitely pushing her independent 2-year-old limits.  But, she is so sweet and so fun and just the best little buddy.  Love. This. Sweet. Angel Girl!

Still Steadily Growing

Despite the total lack of updates, we are indeed still pregnant and are starting to get really excited for baby sister to come!  Brin and I washed (read: I washed, Brinlee played with) all of her old clothes and blankets last week.  I figure we might as well get ready while I'm still not too tired  ;)  I am 4 days shy of 30 weeks, into trimester #3, and feeling fine.

Nurse's Note: Thank You Hemostats

Well we had our first round with the inevitable "small object up the child's nose" experience.
Good grief.
Why is it so fun for them to stick things up there??

All I can say is Hemostats are awesome!
I have decided no house should be without a pair of those beauties.  I got them from the hospital and always had them in my scrub pants pocket there.  But after today, they may have earned a permanent spot in my mommy pants pocket as well.  Serious life saver! The rock-concealing culprit was not so fond of them of course. Don't bring it up, she still gets very serious when she talks about it.  But they were just what that tiny nostril needed.
Hopefully it was a lesson learned.
But we will be keeping the hemostats very handy... just in case.
