Well we had our first round with the inevitable "small object up the child's nose" experience.
Good grief.
Why is it so fun for them to stick things up there??
All I can say is Hemostats are awesome!
I have decided no house should be without a pair of those beauties. I got them from the hospital and always had them in my scrub pants pocket there. But after today, they may have earned a permanent spot in my mommy pants pocket as well. Serious life saver! The rock-concealing culprit was not so fond of them of course. Don't bring it up, she still gets very serious when she talks about it. But they were just what that tiny nostril needed.
Hopefully it was a lesson learned.
But we will be keeping the hemostats very handy... just in case.
What is a hemostat? No comprehendo... Definition....."Hemostats are part of the first aid kit carried by combat medics and paramedics. They are also used as heatsinks while soldering electric circuits; as tools to hold the filter of marijuana cigarettes; by fishermen to remove hooks from the mouths of fish; by motor mechanics to hold nuts, bolts, screws in constricted locations, and as tools to feed prey to captive reptiles and exotic invertebrates without being stung or bit."
ReplyDeleteOkay....not sure how that works to extract a rock up the nose....
I need a visual as well!
