ODUS 2.0 vol 7: SERIOUSLY INJURED

The other night while I was helping Brinlee in the bathroom she very seriously announced, "Mom, we can't wash this hand, it has a hurty.  It's a really bad cut!  And it hurts really badly!"  I decided I'd better take a look and there indeed, right close to her thumb, was a tiny paper cut.  The perpetrator was none other than her current favorite book There's A Nightmare In My Closet, and it had happened while she was reading "last day" (which, in Brinlee language means any time other than the very moment happening right now). This was serious!  We tried a princess bandaid, but it wouldn't stay.  So we tried a less fun, but more sticky bandaid.  It didn't work either.  That cut was just in a tough spot!  We had no choice but to get into the really hefty stuff.  In the end, she came out looking something like this -
